School Update
Tavelli continues to be a CDE High Achievement school, and they will provide some funding for the next two years (Christine - what is the funding for?)
We will continue to have turnaround schools visit
Field Trips - every grade has/will go on at least one this school year!
STEAM Day - April 26, 4-6 pm - students will showcase class and individual projects
Administrative Assistant Day - April 26
Heather will coordinate gifts for Monica, Linda, Jane
5th Grade Parade - May 25 - all other students will line up outside to cheer them on, display signs and a parent will play the trumpet
5th Grade Celebration - May 26 - each class will do their own so it's more intimate
Next School Year (tentative schedule)
Aug 15, 2-3 pm - school supply drop off
Aug 25 - Fall Kick Off (similar to Blast Off) - teachers will do two 30-minute info sessions, staff will be out back to supervise children so parents can attend info sessions
PTO needed to coordinate food trucks

Approved - Ms. Sparks Legos and 1st Grade DMNS Planetarium
Community Garden
Approved, will instruct to coordinate purchases with Monica or submit receipts for reimbursement
Plantorium has offered to donate all plants needed!
Erin is coordinating volunteers and teachers to plant before school is out, then maintain throughout the summer so the gardens are ready for students in the fall
Christine is working with District Facilities to come up with plan based on our budget; they are behind schedule but have been out recently to look at the space
Asking for 5 picnic tables (2 ADA) plus 2 more for the playground, will have to put concrete and filler down, bench replacement (check whether it's a memorial), garbage cans, shade structure near playground, and fencing or rocks
5th Grade Positivity Jars - Approved
Mr. Deakin AR prize donations - PTO has agreed to spend up to $250 to purchase gift cards as prizes

Unanimous vote to approve the slate of officers as follows:

Book Fair
Evening buying event on Tuesday, 5/2 from 3:45-7pm
Monica will create volunteer request for set up on Friday 4/28, computer lab times, evening event plus tear down on Friday, 5/5
Email volunteers with a video or tutorial on how to help/use registers
Monica’s daughter will be at the Book Fair all week to help as well
Teacher Appreciation
Camp Tavelli theme (nature, camping, s’mores, etc)
Monday - PTO-provided breakfast (burritos, donuts, cinnamon rolls)
Will see how much we can get donated
Tuesday - Administration-provided Sweet & Salty treats
Wednesday - PTO-provided gifts/crafts (Classified is providing lunch)
Thursday - PTO-provided Coffee Stop
Friday - PTO-provided larger gifts/crafts
Happy Camper Station - students will use little note cards to write thank you notes
Have stations throughout the school and see if Ms. Robinson will assist in Art
Will create a flyer to go home with daily gift suggestions
Plants/flowers to make a bouquet, gift cards, favorite drinks and snacks, books for classroom or school supplies
Make sure to include intervention and specials teachers, too

Will need volunteers to direct the food trucks on the black top out back as well as run Cream the Dream Team (2 people for 30-minute slots during the whole event)
Mr. Deakin is working on Mifis (will need help setting up on the day of)
