School Update
School year is wrapping up
Such great support from parents and volunteers for Field Day and end of the year field trips
Class placement discussions happening
Kinder and 2rd grade will be 3-track
Popsicle party was on 5/17 for new kindergarten students to meet teachers and get familiar with their classrooms
Dibels data is WELL ABOVE average and where it needs to be – back to pre-covid levels and where we were when we won the Blue Ribbon Recognition
May Event Recap – BIG THANK YOU for getting everything done in the last month
Book fair: $9200 in books, we will get money (about $1,000) – so Linda can buy some books this summer; evening shopping event was a HUGE success
We learned that being done by 6:00-6:30 is fine/once AlphaBest kids are picked up; having “extra” things out with parents there was a special treat
Urban Air – it was a good test run, timing was tough with spring sports and book fair and teacher appreciation – raised about $300. Consider fall and winter dates in the future; it was very fun to see the kids together outside of school; Let’s do an announcement day-of to drive kiddo excitement
Next year – consider a Chipper’s Fundraising night
Teacher Appreciation
It was perfect from top to bottom, the BEST TEACHER APPRECIATION WE’VE HAD IN A LONG TIME!!! Lots of great feedback and emails received; teachers were so appreciative
Thank you Corrine for all your vision, planning and for all the PTO members that helped make this week a success!
Keep a dedicated table for notes from students for staff that don’t have a dedicated classroom
Learning Garden
Oya painting day is Monday – Ms. Alexander’s class is painting
Tuesday is planting day – 4th and 3rd grade a planting
We won’t be doing a drip system this year, but we will be getting a hose and we have a strong volunteer group for summer – weekdays and summer
We have 5 flats of flowers and vegetables donated from Plantorium!
Mac Bus is going to help on hot days with watering
If we have extra plants, we should set some aside and pot them and put them in the front garden – pots don’t require facilities approval
Nature Center/Picnic Area
They have done a bid for the fence – continuing to work with district on this plan
Summer Blast Off
Cream the Dream Team supplies and volunteers - Monica checking the second shed for supplies, and we’ve never gotten rid of it
Need to ask for donations for Shaving cream (Dollar store or Walmart if we need to purchase)

Will need volunteers to direct the food trucks for set up
Food Trucks arriving at 4:30
